The Superior High School girls golf team picked up a pair of wins Thursday at Cumberland.

The Spartans carded a team score of 218, compared to Barron’s 222 and Cumberland’s 226.

“The three seniors, Lauren Raboin, Kacy Larson, and Bridget Beyer, played solid golf to lead us to a couple of important victories,” SHS coach Ed Willie said. “Kacy got over an recent illness to have her best ball-striking round of the year. She was so solid and steady.

“Lauren's birdie on the last hole also helped as it was a tight match.”

The Spartans will take a 10-4 Heart O’ North Conference record into their final match of the season Monday, Sept. 17 against Northwestern at Botten’s Green Acres in Lake Nebagamon.

The HON Conference meet is at 9 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19 at Nemadji Golf Course.
