Don McKay of the Cloquet Country Club shot 70 to take the lead after day one of the 85th annual Nemadji Invitational, Saturday, June 29, at the Nemadji Golf Course.

McKay, the defending champion and a two-time winner of the event, is one stroke ahead of Sam Baker, Troy McNulty and Dave Isackson, who carded 71s.

Pete Lilliberg shot 76 to take the first day lead in the Senior Division. Dick Frank is second at 78.

Sunday’s championship flight will take place on the East/West course, while the Senior Division will play on the North/South.
