Northwood used its height to its advantage in a 61-29 victory over Solon Springs in high school girls basketball Tuesday, Dec. 22, in Minong.

Bailey Monson paced the Eagles (2-3) with 14 points on 6-for-10 shooting, including 2-for-4 from 3-point range.

“Northwood had some good height and it got to us,” Solon Springs coach Adam Bielmeier said. “They out rebounded us, and we turned the ball over too many times giving them extra opportunities. We get another opportunity next week as we take on Frederic on Monday (Dec. 28) and Drummond on Tuesday (Dec. 29) and look forward to getting our team back to full strength for conference play starting up in January.”

Northwood improved to 4-1.
