The Northwestern Tigers softball team defeated Ladysmith 10-0 in five innings Thursday afternoon in Brule.
The Tigers scored four runs in the first inning, two in the third, three in the fourth and ended the game early with a run in the fifth.
Northwestern had 12 hits and left four runners on base while Ladysmith had one hit and committed three errors.
Lindsay Garay led the Tigers at the plate, going 3-for-3 with three runs scored and an RBI.
Anna Morgan, Liz Urbaniak and Rebecca Sutherland had two hits each and Kelcee Janigo, Betsy Hendrick and Paige Pearson had one hit each.

Garay was also the winning pitcher, tossing a one-hitter with 10 strikeouts.
The Tigers are at Chetek on Monday and Proctor Tuesday. Both games begin at 4:30 p.m. NHS will then host Bloomer in a doubleheader at 4 p.m. on Thursday.
