VERO BEACH, Fla. - The 14th-ranked St. Scholastica baseball team finished up its Florida games on Friday by sweeping Richard Stockton College (N.J.), rallying to win game one, 5-4, and then taking game two 6-1.

In game one, the Saints (9-2) had to rally twice in the final two innings to defeat the Ospreys 5-4. CSS was out hitting the Ospreys 5-2 after the first five innings, but still trailed 2-0. Stockton (12-4) got a run in the bottom of the first without a hit, thanks to two CSS errors. The Saints committed another error in the fifth, which led to the Ospreys' second run of the game.

CSS put its first rally together in the top of the sixth as Kyle Jensen drove in Brian Marshik with a double. Joe Link followed with a single to score Jensen to tie the game 2-2. Kyle Moody came up after Link and gave the Saints a 3-2 lead with a RBI-single.

However in the bottom half, Stockton would score on a squeeze attempt and then on a wild pitch to go back up on top 4-3.

The first two batters for the Saints would go down quietly in the top of seventh, meaning CSS was down to its final out. Link kept the Saints alive with a single. Moody then drove in Link with a RBI-double to right field to tie the game. Brandon Peterson stepped up next and drove in Moody with a RBI-double to center to make it 5-4.

Jake Nystrom sat down the Ospreys in order in the bottom of the seventh to pick up the win for the Saints.

Kyle Moody was 3-for-4 with a pair of runs batted in to lead the Saints offensively. Stockton managed just four hits in game one, all given up by CSS starter David Vogelgesang, who went 5.1 innings in the no decision.

In game two, Jake Snyder concluded the Florida trip just like he started it by throwing a complete game and scattering six hits to improve to 2-0 on the season in the 6-1 victory.

The Saints scored at least one run in each of the first five innings. Moody brought in Kyle Jensen in the bottom of the first on a single. Mike Harris scored on a Brian Marshik sacrifice fly in the second to make it 2-0.

Link scored on a fielder's choice and Scott Greening came across on an error to make it 4-0 after three innings.

The Ospreys got their lone run of the game in the top of the fourth, but the Saints got that run back in the bottom half when Chad Peterson scored on a Joe Link sacrifice fly. Peterson had a RBI-single in the bottom of the fifth for the final run of the game to make the final 6-1.

Joe Link was 3-for-3 at the plate to lead CSS offensively in game two. Brian Marshik extended his hitting streak to nine games.
