EAGAN, Minn. -- The Vikings’ foes are set for next season.

With the Atlanta Falcons wrapping up second place in the NFC South on Sunday, that assured they will come to U.S. Bank Stadium in 2019.

The NFL has a scheduling format in which two games each season are based upon the standings from the previous year. The Vikings, assured of finishing second in the NFC North, are scheduled in 2019 to play at home against the second-place team from the NFC South and on the road against the second-place team in the NFC West. The Seattle Seahawks wrapped up that spot earlier this month, assuring they play host to the Vikings in 2019.

The Falcons (7-9) tied for second with the Carolina Panthers (7-9) in the NFC South but won a tiebreaker by sweeping the season series 2-0.

The Vikings long have known that they will play home and away next season against NFC North teams, and also will play games against teams from the NFC East and AFC West.

The Vikings won’t learn dates and times until April, but here are their foes for 2019:

Chicago, Detroit, Green Bay, Philadelphia, Washington, Atlanta, Denver, Oakland.

Chicago, Detroit, Green Bay, Dallas, New York Giants, Seattle, Kansas City, Los Angeles Chargers.
