A number of local players will be on the field Saturday for the 2016 Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-Star Charity Football Games at Titan Stadium in Oshkosh.
The day begins at 10 a.m. with the 8-Man game, followed by the Small Schools (Division 4-7) at 2 p.m., and Large Schools (Division 1-3) at 6 p.m.
Northwestern Tiger Nate Pearson was voted one of three captains for the Small School North team. He will be joined on the team by Tigers teammate Tim Schulz.
Listed on the Large School roster are Superior’s Beau Girard (DB) and Hayward’s Noah LeBlanc (OL). Northwood’s Matt Benson (RB/QB), Lucas Conner (LB) and Ryan Hill (DE) will all be part of the 8-man game.
Players are nominated for the annual North vs. South games by their coaches, and those named to a team are required to raise funds for Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. This year the players and coaches raised almost $455,000.
