The 43rd annual World Championship Snowmobile Watercross is July 19-21 on Memory Lake in Grantsburg.
More than 100 racers, including top competitors from the United States and Canada, will race on open water in drags and oval classes. Racers from Europe, including teams from Norway and Sweden, are expected to compete.
The Grantsburg Watercross, which is sanctioned by the International Watercross Association, is the World Championship within the yearly circuit and racers consider this event the premier race, offering the largest purse.
The weekend begins with qualifying races at 1 p.m. Friday, July 19, and all day Saturday, July 20. Finals conclude Sunday, July 21, with the grand finale: a six-man, eight-lap pro-open thriller determining the 2019 world champion.
