The Douglas County Board gave final approval for dividing responsibilities for managing the fairgrounds and speedway in Superior.
On June 18, the board approved a pair of property management agreements that will split the responsibilities.
Head of the Lakes Management Group LLC, which has been managing both, will now manage the speedway.
Managing the grounds where various events, including the fair, are held will now fall to DHL Management, run by Daniel Litchke and Dustin Soyring, sons of area farmers familiar with showing animals at the fair. DHL Management will be responsible for the multipurpose building, various barns and arenas, the office building, garages and maintaining the grounds.
Joe Stariha, chairman of Head of the Lakes Management Group, said dividing the responsibilities makes sense and thanked the board for making the decision.
