College volleyball: Yellowjackets start season 0-2

UWS is competing at the Central/Grinnell Invitational.

Wisconsin-Superior started its 2021 volleyball season with a pair of losses Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, at the Central/Grinnell Invitational in Pella, Iowa.

The Yellowjackets lost 3-0 (25-19, 25-18, 27-25) to Dubuque, then fell 3-1 (25-18, 17-25, 25-22, 25-22) to Simpson.

In the opener, Alexie Pryd had a team-high 10 kills and Megan Holz had team highs in aces (three) and assists (16).

Maiana Stark led UWS with 11 kills vs. Simpson. Hailey Atwood paced the defense with 15 digs and Jenna Anderson added 10.

UWS (0-2) continues its trip to Iowa Saturday, Sept. 3, 2021, with matches vs. Grinnell and Cornell.
