Milwaukee Bucks center Pau Gasol will miss the rest of the regular season with an injured left ankle, ESPN reported Saturday, March 23.
Gasol is expected to miss about a month. That timetable would allow him to return at some point in the postseason, depending how far the NBA-best Bucks (54-19) advance.
Gasol joined Milwaukee less than three weeks ago after reaching a buyout with the San Antonio Spurs. He has played in just three games for the Bucks, averaging 1.3 points and 3.3 rebounds.
In 30 overall games this season, Gasol is averaging career lows of 3.9 points and 4.6 rebounds.
Gasol's injury comes after the Bucks recently lost guard Malcolm Brogdon (foot) and forward Nikola Mirotic (fractured thumb).
