Senior guard Jake Siegenthaler led a balanced offense with 13 points to lead McDonell Central to a 54-41 nonconference boys basketball victory over Northwestern Wednesday, Dec. 30, in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin.
Logan Hughes added 11 points and Eddie Mittermeyer had nine points for the Macks (4-2), who had nine players score.
Jase Nelson was the lone player to reach double figures in scoring with 11 points to lead the Tigers (4-2), who had a four-game winning streak snapped. Northwestern came in averaging 79.4 points per game but was held to just 15 field goals in a staunch defensive effort by McDonell Central.
Next up for the Tigers is a Heart O’ North contest at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, at Hayward.
