Sophomore guard Eli Vogel tied his career-high with 28 points as Wisconsin-Superior held on for an 86-78 UMAC victory over Martin Luther Wednesday night in men’s basketball game before 82 at Luther Student Center in New Ulm, Minnesota.

Vogel connected on 5 of 7 3-point shots as UWS was 10 of 17 from beyond the arc. J’Vaun Walker (19 points) Josef Fahrenholtz (11), Joey Barker (10) and Mason Ackley of Superior (eight) all scored at least eight points apiece for the Yellowjackets (2-2 overall, 2-2 WIAC).

Jonathan Riebe and Caleb Westra had 18 and 16 points, respectively, off the bench to lead the Knights (1-9, 0-7).
