Senior guard Richie Murphy scored 26 points as Cameron used a strong second half to stay unbeaten in Heart O’ North Conference play with a 75-74 victory over Northwestern Saturday, Feb. 6, in high school boys basketball in Cameron, Wisconsin.

Ian Payne added 20 points as the senior-dominated Comets (16-1 overall, 12-0 HON) outscored the Tigers 41-36 after the break.

Northwestern got great balance with five players scoring in double figures: Monte Mayberry (17 points), Bennett Nelson (15), C.J. Thompson (13), Harrison Nelson (12) and Jase Nelson (10). The Tigers led the entire way until there were four minutes remaining.

Northwestern (13-7, 11-3) made eight 3-pointers but Cameron made 15 of 24 free throws compared to 2 of 7 for the Tigers.
