Allen Anderson and Eli Vogel both scored 21 points and Vid Milenkovic added 13 points and a team-high nine rebounds as Wisconsin-Superior defeated St. Scholastica 77-63 on Wednesday at Reif Gym on the St. Scholastica campus in Duluth.

UWS led 32-31 at halftime and the teams were tied at 45 with about 13 minutes to play. But the Yellowjackets pulled away down the stretch.

CSS' Jack Silgen scored 19 points and Nick Carlson had 11. Quinn Fischer had nine points and 11 rebounds.

UWS improved to 12-1 in the UMAC and 15-7 overall. The Yellowjackets play host to Martin Luther at 3 p.m. Saturday at Mertz Mortorelli Gym in Superior. CSS is 9-5 in the UMAC, 12-10 overall, and plays host to Minnesota Morris at 3 p.m. Saturday at Reif Gym.

  • The Wisconsin-Superior women's team built a 15-point halftime lead, then closed the deal with a strong fourth quarter and defeated St. Scholastica 73-54 on Wednesday at Reif Gym.

The Yellowjackets led 38-23 at the break but St. Scholastica closed the gap in the third quarter and trailed by nine entering the fourth. But the 'Jackets outscored the Saints 22-12 in the final frame.

Eva Reinertsen led UWS with 28 points and 12 rebounds, Emily Carpenter had 16 points and Marissa Ruiz had nine points.

CSS' Kaylee Kennedy scored 17 points and Karli Skog had 13.

UWS improved to 11-2 in the UMAC and 15-7 overall. The Yellowjackets play host to Martin Luther at 4:45 p.m. Saturday. The Saints are 7-7 in the conference and 9-14 overall. They play host to Minnesota Morris at 4:45 p.m. Saturday.
