The University of Wisconsin-Superior basketball teams pulled off an Upper Midwest Athletic Conference doubleheader sweep over North Central on Saturday, Dec. 7, at Clark-Danielson Center in Minneapolis.

The Yellowjacket women won 76-63, while the men won 68-53.

Women’s hoops

UWS senior Eva Reinertsen led a balanced attack with a career-high 26 points. Marissa Ruiz added a career-best 20 points; Emily Carpenter and Pashia Scott added 13 and 10 points, respectively.

UWS (4-4 overall, 2-0 UMAC) hosts St. Scholastica at 7:15 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11.

Former Superior Spartan Mason Ackley and Allen Anderson were next with 12 points apice and Colton Williams added 11.

UWS (4-4) improves to 2-0 in the UMAC, which is its best conference start since the 1997-98 season in the WIAC.
