The Wisconsin GLO professional women's basketball team capped off a perfect season with an 80-78 win over the Flint Monarchs in the GWBA championship game at Menominee Nation Arena in Oshkosh on Sunday, Aug. 11.

The GLO finished its inaugural season in the GWBA with a 14-0 record, which ended with a win over over the three-time defending league champion Monarchs.

Leading the way in the title game was Superior’s Jessica Lindstrom, who was named the finals MVP as she finished with 11 points, 15 rebounds and three steals in the title game.

Lindstrom, who recently signed a contract to play with the Kangoeroes Basket Mechelen in Belgium, also scored seven points in limited action in the GLO’s 106-48 rout over the Music City Icons during Saturday’s semifinals.
