Solon Springs splits at Butternut


The Solon Springs girls and boys basketball teams enjoyed mixed success at Butternut on Tuesday, Feb. 5.
The Eagle girls opened the evening with a 66-61 victory, while Butternut won the boys game 66-56.

The Eagles improved to 6-11 overall and 4-8 in the Indianhead Conference with their victory.
Morgan Anderson led the winners with a game-high 24 points, which included three 3-pointers. Kylli Rajala was next with 19 points and Dominique Orozco added 10.
Emma Herbst led Butternut (3-14, 1-13) with 18 points. Gwen McCorison added 15 points, and Taylar Bortz had 11.
Solon Springs is at Hurley at 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, hosts Drummond at 5:45 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8; and plays at Birchwood at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9.
