Jason Samarziya’s two-run single brought home the tying and winning runs to give Superior a 4-3 victory over Duluth Marshall in Lake Superior Conference baseball action Thursday at NBC Spartan Sports Complex in Superior.

The Spartans (2-0 overall, 2-0 LSC) totaled only one hit in six innings off Marshall starting pitcher Owen Marsolek and then fell behind 3-2 in the top of the eighth.

Carter Kalin reached on an error and Mason Stenberg’s bunt single set up Samarziya’s game-winning hit off reliever Oscar Timm.
