Wisconsin-Superior picked the wrong time to have an offensive drought on Tuesday, recording just three free throws in the last four minutes of a 61-54 nonconference loss to St. Benedict at Mertz Mortorelli Gym.

Though the lead was in single digits almost the whole way, CSB led for all but one possession late in the first quarter. A Sam Parendo jumper brought the Yellowjackets within 52-51 with 4:22 to play, but it would be UWS's last field goal of the game. While UWS went 0-for-3 with two turnovers, the Bennies made three buckets to pull away.

Brianna O'Donnell and Allie Zimmer paced the UWS offense with 10 points apiece, both coming off the bench. The Yellowjackets shot only 17-of-59 from the field. Carla Meyer led St. Benedict with 18 points on 7-of-13 from the field for the 4-0 Bennies.

UWS (1-4) returns to the floor Nov. 30 vs. Simpson College.
