Wisconsin-Superior went on the road to take down Concordia-Moorhead 63-58 in non-conference men's basketball on Saturday.

J'Vaun Walker spurred the Yellowjackets offense, scoring 20 points on 7-of-10 from the field and 6-of-7 from the free-throw line.

UWS held the Cobbers scoreless for more than 6 1/2 minutes in the first half to build a 21-9 lead and never trailed again.

The Yellowjackets (2-3) will play an exhibition at Division I Wisconsin-Green Bay next Saturday (Nov. 27).

UWS can't find equalizer

Gina Magro's tie-breaking goal at 8:19 of the second period held up as a game-winner for Wisconsin-Stevens Point in a 2-1 Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference decision on Saturday in Stevens Point, Wisconsin.

The Yellowjackets went behind on Dani Heitsman's tally 15:20 into the game, but Agnese Apsite evened it up for the visitors 2:36 later.

No tying goal was in the cards for UWS despite putting 38 shots on the Pointers' goal in the last two periods, 24 in the third alone. Olivia Schultz made 46 saves for the Pointers, while Rose Beeman stopped 23 shots for the Yellowjackets.

UWS (4-3, 1-2 WIAC) hosts Gustavus Adolphus in a non-conference game on Tuesday.

'Jackets blank Pointers

Myles Hektor stopped all 27 shots he faced as Wisconsin-Superior defeated Wisconsin-Stevens Point 3-0 in WIAC men's hockey on Saturday at Wessman Arena.

UWS got all its scoring in a 6:51 stretch of the second period, with Levi Cudmore, David Kaplan and Zach Bannister tallying in quick succession.

The Yellowjackets (4-2, 2-1 WIAC) travel south for a midweek game vs. Marian on Tuesday in Crystal Lake, Illinois.
