For the second match in a row the University of Wisconsin volleyball team won the first two sets but were unable to close out the match.

The latest collapse came against UW-Stout, which defeated UWS 3-2 (22-25, 20-25, 25-21, 25-22, 15-11) on Tuesday, Oct. 9, at UWS.

Taylor Howe led the ’Jackets  with 13 kills while Cami Sletta and Ashlee Bayer had 12 and 11, respectively. Emily VerWay had 44 of Superior’s 48 assists along with 19 digs, and Karlie Leif had a team-leading 27 digs.

Bayer and Hannah Googleye added three blocks apece.

UWS plays at St. Catherine on Friday, Oct. 12, and at Martin Luther on Saturday, Oct. 13.
