Scott Savoy and Gene Gunderson posted national honor counts in the Superior Masters Bowling League at Three-Star Lanes. Savoy, who averages 210, rolled games of 257, 264 and 234 for a 755 series. Gunderson, who carries a 196 average, chalked up games of 237, 243 and 246 for a726 trio. (1981)
Bryant defeated East Junior 44-30 to win the championship in the Seventh-Eighth Grade Basketball League tournament. Terry Reinkall scored 15 points to lead the winners. Greg Zell led East with 12 points. Pattision claimed the consolation title with a 36-20 win over Nemadji behind the 12-point scoring punch of Chris Remus. Nemadji’s top shooter was Mark Fender with 11 points. (1982)
