On Friday, Jan. 27, Sandy Slade will be returning home to Solon Springs.
She has lived many years at home base in Corona, Calif.

The Solon Springs school board voted on the naming of the gym, which is well deserved, in her name.
She wrote me in December and I have been in touch with her lately by phone.

The ceremony she has planned will start at 6:45 p.m. right after the junior varsity game, before the main varsity game.
There will be a big crowd.
I hope Emily Kram will be there, she's a great sports reporter.
