Letter: In support of road repairs

A sign on an outbuilding behind a row of mailboxes marks County Acres North trailer park on Monday, July 25, 2022. It is one of two Country Acres trailer parks in Parkland set to close. Remaining residents have until Aug. 1 to vacate the premises or face eviction proceedings.

I'm pleased to see Douglas County making plans for road repairs. Highway A west of Solon Springs was, for decades, a horror story. Now it's a pleasure cruise. Highway P from A in Solon Springs, north to Highway L isn't fit for lumber trucks, let alone passenger vehicles.

Here's hoping $7.5 million can remedy this. If not, perhaps some bake sales are in order.
