Editor's note: The third grade class at Superior's Cathedral School submitted Letters to the Editor in honor of Earth Day. Their parents have given their permission for their letters to be printed.
It is important to recycle the trash. Recycling is serious because the earth will be healthy. For example, throwing trash away gives the earth less pollution. Recycling is nice for you.
Celebrating Earth Day is fun because you get to pick up trash. Picking up trash is really good for the earth. People shouldn't purposely throw trash away.
Earth Day should be celebrated by picking up the trash that is on the earth.
