The only thing more surprising than the huge turnout of upset Americans on April 15th was the hostile response from Dave Obey's aid, Ellis Bachman. She released a statement comparing the protesters to a ".. .drunkard arguing against detox."

This is disturbing. Congress has been on a historical spending "binge" since the bailouts began in late summer of 2008, and they have continued through the 2009 "stimulus" laws. That's $16,000 for every man, woman, and child in the United States plus interest, plus normal taxes.

Who is the drunkard here? Normal, working Americans know who is on the hook to pay for these blank checks, and we are fed up. Congressman Obey is apparently too busy to be there when 200 constituents picket his office in Superior. Congressman Obey is apparently too busy to issue a patronizing press release.

What do we get? We get some lowly assistant calling us drunken idiots. I'm sorry, but Dave Obey needs to go. He gets a huge pension, so don't feel sorry for him.
