The Superior Federation of Labor Committee on Political Education met Feb. 7 to screen local candidates about the offices they hope to hold after the April 3 election.

Candidates were asked questions specifically about the offices they are running for.

Following the screening, the federations endorsed unopposed city council candidates Dan Olson, 1st District; Warren Bender, 3rd; and Ruth Ludwig in the 7th. Both candidates running in the 6th and 9th districts were also endorsed. Tylor Elm and Martina Tendrup are running for a one-year term in the 6th District special election; and Jessica Peterson and Keith Kern are running for a two-year term in the 9th.

One county board candidate, incumbent Dan Corbin, was also endorsed.

A candidate for school board was unable to attend because the board was screening candidates for the next school administrator. That board member and one candidate for county board will be screened March 7.
