I'd like to confront the powers that be about a problem that's been bothering me. It's the potholes of Superior!

Now, what could be drearier than worrying about something so inferior as the pot holes of Superior!

I take the car out and try to decide - which is the safest way to take my ride.

Should I go down Maryland or take Missouri. Does it really make a difference? I'm not in a hurry.

I drive to the end of the block. When I get there - what a shock. The next block is worse - it's the springtime curse.

The potholes of Superior.

The car shakes, rattles, and thumps as I try to dodge all the bumps. The holes are big enough to drown a cat. We really don't want to see that.

When you go to church, it should soothe the soul. But it's hard to feel blessed when your car is in a hole.

What more can I say? Maybe some day there'll be no more holes in the street. Life will be so smooth and sweet.

If you believe that, I've got a bridge I want to sell. It's in Brooklyn.

Last but not least - an Irish/Billings Park Blessing May the lake wind blow clean sand in your teeth.

May the sun pierce the fog on your journey.

And, may you reach Tower Avenue with all your shocks intact.

God Bless
