Douglas County is accepting applications from any citizens interested in appointment to the office of the Third District County Board Supervisor for the remainder of the term, which ends in April 2022.
The Third District lies generally within the boundaries of Winter Street to North 16th Street and John Avenue to Catlin Avenue. Duties, responsibilities and specific district boundary lines can be obtained by contacting the county clerk’s office, 715-395-1341. Interested parties should send a letter of application and resume to Mark Liebaert, Douglas County Board chair, at mark.liebaert@douglascountywi.org or 1313 Belknap Street, Room 101, Superior, WI 54880 no later than Friday, July 16.
County Highway D between County Highway B and US Highway 2 is open again after temporary repairs were performed. Permanent repairs will begin sometime in August. See the Douglas County Highway Department’s Facebook page for updates.
The Douglas County Board is on hiatus for the month of July. Other committees may still meet.
There are no meetings scheduled from July 5-9.
