Douglas County Land Services Department has well tests available at a reduced price.

The test will include bacteria, nitrates and a complete metals package. This is a $120 test that will cost well owners only $20. You must be able to pick up a sample kit from Oct. 13-19, and return the sample on Oct. 25. To be placed on the list, you may fill your information out online at or contact Cameron with land services at 715-395-7266.

The Douglas County Board has approved a tentative supervisory district plan. Comments can be submitted to Sue Sandvick, county clerk, at The tentative plan is viewable on the Douglas County website under the News tab. The plan will be presented as the final plan at a public hearing/meeting to be held in November 2021.

One meeting is on the calendar for next week: The zoning committee will meet on Wednesday, Oct. 13, from 9-11 a.m. in room 201 of the Government Center.
