I'd like to bring your attention to the Democratic candidate for the 7th District of Wisconsin, Mary Hoeft.

She is running against Tea Party and supporter of presidential candidate Donald Trump, U.S. Rep. Sean Duffy.

Usually a letter tells the good things about a candidate but I prefer to remind voters about the Tea Party representative sitting in the 7th District seat, Duffy. Seniors, remember House Republicans want to cut the Social Security budget by $250 million.

But get this.

Sean Duffy is chairman for the House Financial Services Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigation. However, he gladly accepted nearly $300,000 in donations from financial institutions according to opensecrets.org. He publicly stated that his $174,000 salary was hard to live on, but with nearly $2 million in his campaign re-election bank account, he's come a long way. He is certainly benefiting from the Citizens United Supreme Court ruling that paved the way for dark money flooding Republican coffers. Maybe he should investigate himself.

He supported gutting or repealing the Affordable Health Care Act 61 times, but couldn't come up with a Republican health care plan (except die, and reduce the surplus population). He voted to continue funding taxpayer dollars toward military Nascar sponsorships. He voted against funding for disaster relief for victims of Superstorm Sandy. And, of course, he voted to shut down the government, as all good little Republicans do. He voted against raising the debt ceiling causing the U.S. to have its credit rating decrease. He backs Trump, saying Trump "fits the template of the conservative movement." (May 2016) And, this conservative movement seeks to "reform" Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid to let Wall Street bankers get their hands on your money. Everything about Duffy is about money, especially for the rich.

And he's thrown his backing to Mr. Trump, who repeatedly says racist and bigoted comments. Does like attract like?

Mary Hoeft is the exact opposite. She is underfunded, a David against a Goliath, so to speak. But, she is for Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid. She is in favor of a clean environment, something few Republicans have ever supported. Thanks to Gov. Scott Walker's disastrous policies (except if you're rich) poverty here in Wisconsin is at a 30-year high. Wisconsin is No. 50 in the nation for startup business activity. Wisconsin is No. 1 in the nation with the most rapidly disappearing middle class.

As Donald Trump doesn't think there is a need for a minimum wage, I'm sure Duffy would never support a living wage, since Duffy supports Trump who "fits the template of the conservative movement."

Not so with Mary Hoeft.

Hoeft needs your help to defeat this Trump-supporting, Tea Party, "environment should be exploited" legislator.

Google Mary Hoeft for Congress and help her out.
