Your local Superior Elks Lodge No. 403 hosted a fundraising event Oct. 14, the Angels and Demons Halloween Party. It was a night of fun, music and surprises.
The party raised $1,100 with the help of local businesses. Businesses that participated included Black Bear Casino, Robertson's Leather, A Dozen Excuses, Campbell Lumber, Shirts Unlimited, La Peinado Salon, Utopia, Discover PC, Art On the Planet, Joanne Haugland, Grizzly's, A&W, UpNorth Sundries, Breakwater Restaurant. Plus there were all the Elks members who helped out.
Together as a community, we are able to assist Harbor House in their quest to end homelessness and poverty. Harbor House Crisis Shelters' mission provides shelter, transitional living and services for homeless women and families. They provide education, analysis of model programs and practices that create permanent housing opportunities and shaping policies to prevent future homelessness.
Thank you to all who participated and attended.
The Superior Elks Lodge looks forward to putting on the event next year and hopes to see more of our community attend this event.
