Thomas L. Ludtke

Thomas L. Ludtke, 85, of Superior, died Sunday December 13, 2020, at Aspen Health and Rehabilitation Center, South Range.
He was born May 23, 1935 in Superior, son of Lester and Dorothy (Belanger) Ludtke.
On June 28, 1958 in Superior, Ardath Olson and Thomas Ludtke were united in marriage.
He honorably served his country with the U.S. Army.
Some of his interests included fishing, hiking, many outdoor activities, coin collecting, watching the news and Jeopardy, chewing gum, spending quality time with Makaela and other family members.
Tom retired as a journeyman machinist from Fort Howard Paper Company.
Preceding him in death were his parents; daughters, Yvonne Venegas and Shawn Roa; and grandson, Benjamin Roa.
Survivors include his wife of over 62 years, Ardath; son, Michael D. (Marjorie) Ludtke, Louisville, KY; daughter, Danielle F.M. Ludtke, California; grandchildren, Makaela N. Portwood, Poplar, WI, Jessica, Andrew, Joshua, Lissette, Jacob, Aaron, Miranda, Erica, Scott, Cameron, Savannah and Blake; several great-grandchildren; brothers, Lester (Marie) Ludtke, Duluth, and Michael (Gloria) Ludtke, Palm Springs, CA; step-father, Thomas Rohan; aunt, Lorraine Belanger; and several nieces and nephews.
A service will be held at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th Street, Superior, at a later date, with military honors accorded by the Richard I. Bong American Legion Post 435.
