Robert G. Albright, Sr.

Robert G. Albright, Sr. 67, of Superior, died battling cancer on Sunday April 19, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth.
Robert was born in Superior on Oct. 26, 1952 the son of Ruth (Bailey) and Donald Albright. He married Sherry Buttrick on April 21, 1972 and they celebrated 32 years of marriage until her passing in 2004.
He was a millwright mechanic for many years at Superior Fiber Products and at Georgia Pacific before working for and retiring from J & B Trucking.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time at the cabin. He also enjoyed cooking maple syrup and running his sawmill. Bob was always willing to help others.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Sherry; and brother, Clyde Albright.
Bob is survived by his sons, Robert (Peggy) Albright of South Range, Donald (Brenda) Albright of Poplar; grandchildren, Emily, Nirvana, and Mackenzie; step-grandchildren, RJ (Ashley) Keur and Christopher Keur; sister, Dawn (Charlie) Anderson of Superior; brother, John (Julie) Albright of South Range; hunting and fishing partner, Al Lorimor of Brainard; longtime friends, Bruce Peterson, Russ Sharpe, and Pete Fornengo; many nieces and nephews; and Grand Dogs, Drake and Axel who truly enjoyed their cabin time with Grandpa.
Due to COVID-19 and the Governor’s mandates, services for Bob will be announced at a later date.
