Robert ‘Bob’ J. Brown

Robert ‘Bob’ Joseph Brown, 47, of Superior, died unexpectedly as the result of a workplace accident on Sunday, July 11, 2021.
Bob was born in New Ulm, MN, on March 9, 1974, the son of William and Helen (Hacker) Brown. He graduated from New Ulm High School and then earned an Associate Degree from Rasmussen Business College in Mankato.
He had worked for his parents’ business Brown Music and Hoffman Construction in New Ulm, MN. When he moved to Superior, he worked for Superior Machine Works with his brother, Jim. He also worked for Charter NEX, and most recently for Douglas County Grounds and Facilities Maintenance.
He was a member of the KISS Army, a fan of MOPAR cars, and active on E-Bay. He had many talents, especially when it came to music and fixing things. Bob was a pet lover, especially his cocker spaniel, Sophie.
He was preceded in death by his beloved sister-in-law, Liz Brown.
Bob is survived by his fiancé, Jane Naeyaert of Superior; parents William and Helen of New Ulm, MN; siblings, William (Bridget) Brown of Naples, FL, James (Cindy) Brown of Superior, John (Jeanne) Brown of South St. Paul, MN, and Lisa (Brent) Boston of Overland Park, KS; Jane’s children, Ian and Ryan Naeyaert; and he was the favorite uncle to many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Bob’s Life will be held on Friday, July 16, 2021, from 5-7 p.m. at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19th St.
Memorials in Bob’s name may be sent to the Douglas County Humane Society or Northern Lakes Rescue.
