Robert A. Plunkett, 82, of Superior, died Tuesday, October 18, 2022, at Superior Rehabilitation Center.

Bob was born in Ashland, WI on May 14, 1940, the son of Vivian (Johnson) and Robert L. Plunkett.

Bob’s work history started with Boeing Aircraft in Seattle, Washington and retired in 2005 from Georgia Pacific in Superior.

His interests included bowling, hunting, the Green Bay Packers, coaching baseball and was a crew chief for Kotter Racing.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Susan.

Bob is survived by his sons, Brian (Peggy) Plunkett of Dubuque, IA, Michael Plunkett of Sturgeon Lake, MN, Patrick (Diane) Plunkett of Onalaska, WI, Robert (Laurie) Plunkett of Champlin, MN, and Greg (Celeste) Plunkett of Superior; 11 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Sharon Kotter of Superior; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 22, 2022, from 10:30 a.m. until the 11:30 a.m. service at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, 1924 Wyoming Ave., Superior. Rev. Sean Koos will officiate.

Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery at a later date.

Pallbearers will be Vance Plunkett, Ross Plunkett, Tyler Plunkett, Bryce Plunkett, Tim Kotter, and Cody Spencer.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Harmony House, Essentia Health Hospice and others who have helped with Bob’s care.
