Florence B. Flowers

Florence “Flo” Flowers passed away on April 29, 2022.

She was born on August 3, 1933, the youngest of 6 children. She married the love of her life Edward on Nov. 19, 1955 and shared 60 wonderful years of marriage with him.

Florence was a witty firecracker who was never afraid to speak her mind. A stubborn but kind woman, she loved her family deeply-her favorite activity was spending time with them. She was a collector of owls, liked playing Bingo and going to casinos, and enjoyed baking and cooking.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Edward James, son Franklin James, her parents, and her brothers and sisters.

Florence is survived by two daughters, Cindy (Randy LeDoux) Graff, and Melissa Flowers; seven grandchildren, Chad (Tammy) Flowers, Kristina (Josh) Pederson. Jacob (Sara) Graff, Samantha (Mark) Aff, Tabitha (Jared) VanValkenburg, Jordan Gamache, and Anton Gamache; eight great-grandchildren, Kennedy Flowers, Danae, Alayna, and Evan Pederson, Gavin, Owen, and Sophia Graff, and Lorelei VanValkenburg; and one great-great-grandson, Carter Sanda. Florence is also survived by special niece Rose Lear and family, many other nieces and nephews, and all her friends at Northern Pines facility in Aurora, MN. The family wishes to thank Essentia Health-Northern Pines with a special thanks to Renee, who Florence adored, and also Essentia Health Hospice for the wonderful care Florence received.

A celebration of life will be held at the Elks Club in Superior, WI on 07/09/22 from 1-4 pm.
