Elaine Ebba Lundberg

Elaine Ebba Lundberg, 66, Lake Nebagamon, WI, passed away in Mesa, Arizona after a long-fought battle with cancer on Valentine’s Day Feb 14, 2022. She was born in Duluth, MN on June 14, 1955, to Swan and Marie Lundberg. She lived in Hibbing, MN and Lake Nebagamon, WI and loved her winters in the warm sun of Mesa, Arizona. This was her personal Paradise!

Elaine spent her early years in Hibbing, MN. She loved this area and met so many great friends. She raised two sons Terry and Michael Johnson with her first husband in Hibbing, MN. She spent years working at a Daycare, working in restaurants, and spent time working as a CNA. She always had the hardest work ethic and was born to serve.

Elaine “Auntie EE” known to many of us, lived the best life. She taught us how to live! Elaine, moved from Bemidji, MN, to Bayfield, WI, and finally settled in Lake Nebagamon. She worked at Lonnie’s Restaurant for several years and was also a server throughout several establishments throughout Douglas County. She always said she was born to be a serve. In the early 90’s Elaine owned and operated Sundown Café, in Maple WI. She was an amazing caterer and loved to do it.

For the past twenty-five years Elaine has been best friends with the Love of her Life Tim Harvey. She has enjoyed the summers working at Cedar Island and working with Timmy in the concrete business. She loved her flowers. Elaine loved family gatherings, music and dancing, cooking and entertaining and she was so great at always being the hostess. You could never leave her home without eating or having a drink.

Elaine and Timmy were able to start spending their winters in Arizona ten years ago and met the most amazing lady named Lois Pollari. She meant so much to them both. They have opened their home in Arizona to all family and friends to share the Arizona warmth and sun. Elaine was so proud of the home they created in Arizona and loved to share their home, their flowers, food, and their gorgeous concrete work. They both put the labor of love into their winter home.

She is survived by her life-long friend and love of her life Tim Harvey, Lake Nebagamon, WI. Sophie and Ellie, her beloved four-legged babies.

Elaine is survived by her two sons: Michael Johnson (Shelley Leutshaft) Oliver, WI; and Terry Johnson, (Gina Johnson) Buhl, MN. Her sisters Karin Colby, Maple, WI; Liz Colby, Maple, WI; Elsa Lundberg (Doug O’Brien) Highland, WI.

She is survived by her Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren: Josie Johnson, Oliver, WI; Courtney and Brittany Johnson, Minneapolis, MN; Cassie Harvey, Lake Nebagamon, WI; Lulu and Lucas Javenkoski, Poplar, WI; She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and friends.

Elaine is survived by some very special people that meant the world to her: Al and Jean, Ryan and Sarah, Paula and BJ, Chris, and Julie from Hibbing. Paula Hoffer, Nikkol Moniot, and Patsy Howland you were all her sisters, not by blood but sisters by heart. Also survived by her longtime dear friends, Bill and Shelly Harvey, her special nieces, Nancy and Cindy, and Tim’s parents, Micky and Richard Kornstad. She loved you all so much.

Elaine has been reunited in heaven with some very special people. Her parents Swan and Marie Lundberg, brother Larry Lundberg, brothers-in-law Arnie and Marvin Colby, nieces Denise Dahlen and Lisa Pritchard and nephew Erick Melvin and Rod Lundberg.

A Memorial Service offered by Pastor Chuck Ells will begin at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 11th at the Lake Nebagamon Auditorium, 11596 Waterfront Drive, followed by a Time of Remembrance and Celebration to honor the life of this great lady. She will be missed by many.
