Brian Guy Acker, age 59, passed away  on December 22, 2020 due to complications from Kidney disease.

He was born in Superior to parents Gail and Lucille (Isackson) Acker. The youngest of 4 children, Brian grew up in Billings Park and spent his winters on the hockey rink and snowmobiling.   Summers were spent camping with family, fishing, riding his mini bike or elbow deep in grease tearing an engine apart. He graduated from Superior Senior High in 1979 and worked locally using his mechanical skills.

After meeting the love of his life Karen (Hester) he moved to the Chicago area. They married in 1988 and raised 3 children. He  worked as a maintenance mechanic for the majority of his career.

Brian  was a diehard Packers fan, daring to wear the green and gold in ‘Bear country.’

Brian is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Karen and their children Brandon, Garrett and Alyssa, all of Villa Park Il.

His siblings Patricia (Terry) Sturzenegger,  Superior,  James (Anne Foslid) Acker of Golden Valley Mn and Lori Acker (Curt Oehlert) of Mount Vernon, WA. Several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law, Terry.

A private  visitation was held prior to cremation  at Knollcrest Funeral Home in Lombard, Il. Brian will be remembered for his unwavering spirit and determination when faced with medical setbacks. He is deeply missed and forever in our hearts.
