James A Stulen of Farmington, MN passed away peacefully and surrounded by family on September 28th 2019 at the University of Minnesota Hospitals. He was born on April 29th, 1953 in Superior, WI to Clarence and Nell Rae (Sellwood) Stulen and grew up in Bennett, WI. Jim graduated from St. Croix High School in Solon Springs, WI in 1971. While in school, he worked at Stulen’s Texaco Station in Bennett, which his father owned and operated. Jim earned a B.S. degree in Geology from the University of Wisconsin – Superior in 1975. He worked as a geologist at MinnTac and various management positions at Hitchcock Industries. Jim was known for his ability to make you laugh, for passion and talent like none other as a chef, his generosity, memories and stories of fishing the Brule River, traveling especially a trip he made to Australia and entertaining family and friends.
Jim was preceded in death by his father Clarence “Red” Stulen, his mother Nell Rae Stulen and his brother Daniel. He is survived by his daughter Jamie Barry (Tom Stafford) Burnsville, MN; sisters Rebecca (LeRoy) Rummel, Solon Springs, WI, Judith (Rodger) Ahlberg, Bennett, WI, and Martha (Fidel T.) Gander, Superior, WI; his nephews David Rummel, Jason Stulen, Travis Stulen, Nathan Ahlberg and Fidel J. Gander; his nieces Catherine Forrest, Kristin Ahlberg, Amanda Stulen and Laura Gander; his great nephews and nieces, great-great nephews and niece; cousins, many great friends and his beloved and adored grand-dogs Gus and KaDee.
Remembrance will be held November 2nd 2019 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at The Bennet Town Hall.
