Norman “Johnny” Yadon

On Saturday, October 24 2020, Norman “Johnny Yadon, loving husband, father, Grandfather, and friend passed away at the age of 81. Norman died peacefully at home with his beloved wife Lois and daughter Sherry by his side. 

Norman was born on March 23, 1939 in Superior, Wisconsin to Elven and Ruth (Matheson) Yadon. He served in the Air Force as an aviation mechanic in Texas. He met and married the love of his life Lois Bounting and they were blessed with one child, Sherry. He retired from the Soo Line Railroad where he worked as a switchman for over 30 years.

Norman has a passion for serving the Lord. He loved singing gospel music, fishing, camping, bird watching and doting on his family. He was known for his kind and generous spirit. The way he affected the lives of those he left behind remains a true blessing. 

Norman was preceded in death by his parents Elven and Ruth Yadon, Stepmother Jennie Fabian Yadon, sisters Ramona (Donald) Polson and Phyllis (Russell) Erickson and several nieces and nephews. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Lois, daughter Sherry (Craig Tyson) Grandsons Cody (Courtney St. Marie) Tyson, Logan Tyson and great grandchildren Jax Tyson and Layla St. Marie. There will be a small service on Saturday for immediate family only. A special Thanks to St. Mary’s Hospice, Jenny St. George and his two nieces Brenda Finn and Peggy Sue Kiggins.
