Lillian B. Dettle

Lillian Bernice Dettle, 83, of Mounds View, MN died on Wednesday, July 14, 2021 after complications from surgery at Hennepin County Medical Center. She was born February, 5, 1938 in Minneapolis, MN, the daughter of Joseph and Estelle Jetland.

Lillian had worked many jobs over the years and continued to work part time until she was 81. Most notable were the Black Steer and Lally Chiropractic in Duluth and Little Jacks in NE Minneapolis.

Lillian was known for being the life of the party and for always being on the go. She enjoyed writing, singing, dancing and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Lillian was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Leonard Jetland and Daniel Jetland. She is survived by her children, David Dettle of Superior, Teresa Dettle of Hudson, Michael (Kristy) Dettle of Fridley, MN and Thomas (Kathy) Dettle of Sarona; grandchildren, Tara (Adam) Whittrock, Andrew Dettle, Megan (Anand) Rozowski, Whitney (Anthony) Polski, Jennifer (Matt) Brooks, Kelly (Mitch) Boeder, Karen (Jon) Holland, Lily Dettle, Sarah Dettle and Sam Dettle; great-grandchildren, Bennett, Sarka, Roza, Sonny, Henry, Hailey and Etta; sisters June (Jim) Edman, Dorothy (Dale) North and Evelyn Harner; brothers Joseph (Connie) Jetland and Ole Jetland Savior; and many nieces and nephews.

MEMORIAL SERVICE: Thursday, July 29, 2021 - 5:00pm Gathering with a 5:30pm Service at St Philips Church, 6180 Highway 65 NE, Fridley, MN 55432. Reception to follow. Services entrusted to National Cremation Society of MN. Memorials preferred to St Philips Church.
