Karen “Kip” M. Fudally

Karen “Kip” M. Fudally, 83, Lake Nebagamon, WI resident, died on Monday, August 2, 2021, at Miller Dwan Hospital in Duluth, MN. She was born on November 3, 1937, in Albany, NY to Urban and Elizabeth (Kasparek) Olsen.

Karen was an employee of Kmart for over twenty years before retiring in 1999.

She married Joseph Fudally on June 3, 1961, at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Duluth, MN and recently celebrated sixty years of marriage.

Karen was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lake Nebagamon, WI. She was strong in her faith. She participated in Adoration at St. Anthony’s and prayed the rosary daily. She enjoyed square dancing, gardening and caring for canaries. Kip also volunteered delivering meals on wheels. She will be remembered as a doting grandmother and will be sadly missed.

Kip is survived by her husband, Joseph; two daughters, Jean (Dan) Stocker, St. Anthony, MN, Judy Konkler, Brule, WI; three sons, Michael (Julie) Fudally, Brule, WI, Steven Fudally, Lake Nebagamon, WI and Brian (Stacy) Fudally, Brule, WI; eleven grandchildren, Justin (Susie), Jed, Josey, Janaia, Michelle, Jena, Jami, Jese, Paul, Sam and Jake; four great-grandchildren, Addy, Miles, Benny and Hudson; many nieces and nephews and her beloved dog, Medge.

Kip is preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Dave and Robert and sister, Virginia and son-in-law, Paul Konkler.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM on Monday, August 9, 2021, at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Lake Nebagamon, WI and continue until the 11:00 AM Memorial Mass of Christian Burial with Rev. Fr. Andrew Ricci as celebrant.

A private burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in Superior, WI, at a later date.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to the staff at Miller Dwan for the care they provided Karen.
