Joy A. Anderson

Joy Annette Anderson (Clemmer), 72, of Lake Nebagamon, WI passed away peacefully with her family by her side February 20, 2021.

Joy was born in Superior, WI to Daniel and Delores Clemmer in 1948.

She graduated from John F. Kennedy High School, Babbitt, MN in 1966, and went on to graduate from Patricia Stevens Fashion Merchandising School in 1967.

Joy was united in marriage to Allen K. Anderson, September 2, 1972, and they celebrated forty-eight years of marriage before her passing.

She worked as a Paraprofessional Educator at Earl Brown Elementary School, Brooklyn Center, MN from 1989-2001.

She loved reading, camping, playing bingo, and traveling. Above all, Joy was a loving wife, mother, and Nana, and she especially loved spending time with her grand-babies. She will be dearly missed by all.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Allen K. Anderson; sons, Aaron (Tricia) Anderson; daughters, Josephine (Andrew) James, Jane (Charles) Pangrac, Jillian (Shawn) Miller; brothers, Garry (Jacquie) Clemmer, Mike (JoAnne) Clemmer, Brian (Judy) Clemmer; grandchildren, Karley, Noah, Olivia, Owen, Mabel, Allen, Peter and Rocky; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Daniel and Deloris; brothers, James, Dan, and Reuben; sisters-in-law, Shirley and Kathleen; niece, Susan; and granddaughter, Charlene.

Private family services will take place at Trinity Lutheran Church in Lake Nebagamon, and a Celebration of Life will occur at a later date. Should friends desire, the family asks that memorials be made in Joy’s name to Boys Town, PO Box 8000 Boys Town, NE 68010, and Disabled American Veterans, VA Regional Office, 5400 West National Avenue, Milwaukee, WI 53214-3461.
