James “Jim” A. Beckwell

James “Jim” A. Beckwell, 58, lifelong Superior resident, died unexpectedly on Saturday, October 17, 2020 in Stockbridge, WI. He was born on December 10, 1961 in Superior, WI to James and Kathie (Coon) Beckwell.

Jim was a pipeliner for Steamfitters Local 601 for many years.

He was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting and dirt track racing and proudly sponsored many local race teams with his son, Jimmie as JB Motorsports. Jim loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed his adventures with his loving companion, Cheri.

Jim is survived by his father, James C. Beckwell; son, James “Jimmie” Beckwell and daughter, Courtney (Casey) Birk, both of Superior, WI; two granddaughters, Ruby and Ameila Birk and his loving companion, Cheri Hodgson, Stockbridge, WI.

He is preceded in death by his mother Kathie Beckwell in 2013 and the mother of his children Charlotte (Lambert) Beckwell.

A Time of Remembrance will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2020 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Downs-LeSage Funeral Home, 1304 Hammond Avenue, Superior with a Celebration of Life Service at 1:00 PM. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery in Superior, WI. Pallbearers for the service will be Mike Meyers, Darrell and Cody Carlson, Willy Buchin, Shane Roy and Todd Adams. Honorary pallbearers will be friends and coworkers from the pipeline industry.
