Gilbert Schumacher

Gilbert Russell Schumacher of Superior, WI passed away peacefully on November 29th, 2020 after a long battle with cancer.

He was born on September 29th, 1939 in Superior, WI where he was a lifelong resident. He was the son of Fred and Anna Schumacher. Gilbert proudly served 4 years in the United States Army and retired from Koppers Industries in Superior. He and his wife, Camille, spent many happy years together.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Camille Schumacher; son, Paul Garro; daughter, Sandy Penn; sisters: Beatrice Austin, Carol Carlson, Margaret Devogel; brother, Carl Schumacher.

Gilbert is survived by his daughter, Michelle Schindelholz (Troy Lyons); grandchildren Austin & Caleb Lyons, Mykel & Xavier Penn, Eryk Garro and Alyssa Thompson; and one great grandchild, Kolton Miner; sisters: Noreen Schumacher and Bernice Hutchinson; brothers: Leslie Schumacher, Delwin Schumacher, Robert Schumacher and Dale Schumacher.
