Einer A. Skow Doris J. Skow

Einer Alfred Skow – Dec. 24, 1930 to July 6, 2019 Doris June (Kunze) Skow - June 6, 1933 to July 29, 2018 Doris lived in several locations growing up, last being in Frederic, Wis. where she graduated in 1951. Einer was raised on a farm in Luck, Wis. graduating from Luck High School in 1948. They met while Einer was a milk hauler and happened to notice the beautiful girl at the Kunze farm on his milk route. They dated for several years and were married in St. Peter’s Lutheran Church (Luck, Wis.) Sept. 14, 1952. They were together nearly 66 years. Rarely was one seen without the other. They lived in several locations including Luck, River Falls, Barnum, and Esko where Einer had jobs as a farm worker. In 1958 they moved to South Range, Wis.. Einer worked in Duluth at Paper Calmenson Co., and briefly at Superwood. In 1974 he worked at Middle River Health Facility retiring in 1991. Doris kept house, grew a garden, raise 5 children and enjoyed the grandchildren. Einer had a variety of farm animals and enjoyed work around home and helping others. They had a true love for each other and a strong faith in God. They attended churches in Hawthorne and Bennett area singing in the choir and attending Bible studies. They moved to an apartment in Superior in 2012, Encompass Assisted Living and then Villa Marina Health and Rehab. where Doris passed on July 29, 2018. Einer waited 342 days until he was called to be with her, missing her every day. They had a smile and a good word for everyone they met and were very thankful for all the help from friends, family and health care workers. People felt good after being with them. Preceded in death: Daughter Linda and Son-in-Law Gary Woodhull, and son LaVerne Preceded in Einer’s death were his parents (Jens Henry and Emma Skow), 2 brothers and 4 sisters. Preceded in Doris’s death were her parents (Charles and Orilla Kunze), 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Survived by Sons: Loren Skow, Leon Skow, and Alan (Laurie) Skow, and Grandchildren: Angela (Brian) Brown, Keith (Stephanie) Pearson, Javin Skow, Jaden Skow, Kiley Donnohue, and Bria Skow. Four Great Grandchildren and two Great Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, Doris’s sister Evelyn and husband Roger Gundlach and sisters-in-law; Dorothy Kunze and Alice Kunze. The family wishes to thank everyone who interacted with Einer and Doris, helping them in any way. Per Einer and Doris’ wishes no formal services planned.
