Darlene M. Rochon, 83, lifelong resident of Superior, died Friday, January 7, 2022, at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth.

She was born on February 27, 1938, the daughter of Arthur and Nancy (Mossberger) McIvor.

Darlene was cook at the Hammond Steak House in Superior for many years. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, softball, and bingo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene; son, Eugene; and sister, Clara Gunderson.

Darlene is survived by her daughters, Connie (Larry) Vandenberg of Superior, Denise Stern of Motley, MN, Lorrie (Richard) Howell of Duluth, and Nancy (Jim) Rochon of Duluth; sons, Joe and Robert Rochon, both of Superior; 9 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Don McIvor and Richard (Linda) McIvor of MN, Doug (Gloria) McIvor of Danbury, Ray (Mary) McIvor of Superior, and Mike (Arlis) McIvor of Danbury; sisters, Nancy (Dave) Haff of Danbury, and Marchelle McIvor of Superior; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Darlene’s life will be held at a later date.

Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N 19th Street, Superior, WI, is assisting the family with arrangements.
