Clifford “Marv” Erickson

Clifford “Marv” Erickson, a recent resident of Conover, died Monday, October 12, 2020, at his home. He was 84. Marv was born August 18, 1936, in Superior, Wisconsin, to Chet and Nellie Erickson.
He graduated from Webster High School, then worked at the Ford Plant in Minneapolis, owned his own service/repair stations in Cottage Grove, Minnesota and Minong, Wisconsin, and ended his working years at the Northfield Foundry in Northfield, Minnesota. Marv enjoyed working on and restoring his antique cars and coaching softball. Marv was a long time member of the Riverbend Auto Club of Hastings, MN, Sundowners of Northfield, MN and MN Street Rod Association.
His parents, Chet and Nellie, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Cathy, one son Tom (Cindy) Erickson of Northfield, Minnesota, three daughters Sue Lovett of Dallas, Texas, Sandy (Mark) Boegeman of Apple Valley, Minnesota, Nancy Erickson of West Concord, Minnesota and one step-daughter, Candy (Steve) Beckett of Conover, Wisconsin, sister Jeannie (John) Machacek, brother Dennis (Connie) Erickson both of Northfield, Minnesota. Five grandchildren Dean Erickson, Devin Erickson, Jessie (David) Zyhowski, Walker Beckett and Max Erickson also survive him.
A service will be held at Northwoods Assembly of God Church, Eagle River, on Sunday, October 18th, at 2:00pm, with visitation from 1:00pm – 2:00pm. The family requests that masks are worn.
